The City Council committed to being a partner in promoting the rights and responsibilities of service animal handlers and places open to the public during its July 23, 2024 meeting. Afterwards Vero Beach Officer Jeff Otis provided a tour of the city. Local businesses received the toolkit Service Animals Welcome; It's a Crime to Misrepresent. It's official Vero Beach is the second community on the 2024 trail.
