What Not To Do

ASK ABOUT THE PERSON'S DISABALITY

ASK FOR DOCUMENTATION OR IDENTIFICATION OF THE ANIMAL OR FOR THE ANIMAL TO DEMONSTRATE ITS TASKS.

REFUSE ADMITTANCE BECASUE THE ANIMAL IS NOT WEARING GEAR OR MARKED AS A SERVICE ANIMAL.


When Service Animals Are Present

as this is a modification to the “no pets” policy.



even when staff or volunteers can provide the same assistance and support provided by the animal.


the individual with a disability and the service animal. Do not separate.  


 individuals with a service animal from others.   


that enable service animal handlers to care for the animal (clean up accidents), if the handler does not have them.


so that individuals with a disability can easily take the service animal outside for relief.
